Since its founding in 2005, the Tufts Financial Group (TFG) has established itself as a resource for Tufts students, at all levels of experience, with an interest in finance. The largest business club on campus with over 170+ members, TFG is the only group that offers students real investing experience.
The primary endeavor of TFG is the Tufts Alpha Fund: an entirely undergraduate student-run investment portfolio established in 2007, which has grown to $215,000 in Assets Under Management (AUM). Through management of the fund, TFG provides invaluable hands-on investment experience to undergraduate students of all disciplines and levels of financial expertise. Members initially join as analysts within one of our small industry sectors, working under the guidance of a Lead Analyst. The main focus of these groups is to learn how to conduct research on companies and ultimately present stock pitches to the Alpha Fund. In these groups, students learn to apply tools to the world of investment and finance.
Whether you have been interested in finance for years or are just beginning to explore the different career paths that the industry offers, TFG is a great organization in which to cultivate your skills, find a mentor, prepare for interviews, and more!
